“The Road to Crested Butte”

October 2021
A twelve-hour drive from Indianapolis, IN to Crested Butte, CO for a friend’s wedding. Gorgeous vistas were a dime a dozen. This particular view greeted us every day as we went north into Crested Butte proper. Over the course of three days I attempted this shot, never happy with the framing or lighting. On the last day of the trip, the light was perfect, and I captured my eventual final images. Upon viewing what I captured, disaster struck. Lots of dust and a single hair were present on the camera’s digital sensor. After a year of off-and-on Photoshop work, kicking myself, and inventing new curse words, I was finally able to walk away with something I was happy with.
